Royal revelation: Duchess Camilla used to ‘SWEAR and SWEAT’ on Christmas Day son reveals - Express

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall’s son Tom Parker Bowles has sensationally revealed how the future Queen Consort used to swear on Christmas morning. Tom is the eldest child of Camilla and her ex husband Andrew Parker Bowles.

The 44-year-old, who works as a food writer, recently published his new book Christmas & other winter feasts, and opened up about Christmas with his family as a child.

He recalled his mother, who is now married to the future King of Britain, Prince Charles, swearing as she kicked the turkey into the oven for Christmas.

Speaking to Town and Country magazine, Tom said his mother and aunt used to “swear at 6am in the morning”.

Asked if he had turkey as a child at Christmas he said: “[I remember] my mother and aunt waking up and kicking a turkey into an Aga, which is a sort of always-on English cooking thing that you have in the country.

“They always made a big deal of it, and sweating away and pushing it and swearing at six o’clock in the morning.

“But I personally prefer beef, and I feel a bit guilty with my children that they’ve never had turkey for Christmas.

“I thought I deprived them somewhat of something very traditional.

“But yes, most people have turkey and there are very good turkeys, but give me beef any day.”

At 1pm after the church service, the royals are seated for their Christmas lunch.

According to former royal chef Darren McGrady they’re served a traditional feast.

This include festive foods such as turkey, mashed and roast potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and Brussels sprouts.

Mr McGrady further explains the Christmas pudding is brought into the room at 2pm, and is served with brandy butter and brandy sauce.

After lunch, the Royal Family sit down with one another to watch the Queen’s annual Christmas broadcast.

The first ever royal Christmas broadcast was delivered by King George V in 1932.

In 1957, the Queen became the first British monarch to deliver a televised Christmas speech.

In the evening the family is believed to enjoy light-hearted fun, and are reportedly big fans of Charades.
